Frequently Asked Questions

Hello and welcome to the our help page! Although we offer very fast customer support, we wanted to make things easier for you by creating a FAQ page to answer any common questions. We will be sure to update this page as we come across more questions about all of our features!

How can I update/delete my site details?

If have you a typo in your approved listing, or just want to update your site's details, you can make any changes to how your site appears in the directory by visiting the Update Your Site page. Enter your site url that you want to update or delete, and the next page will display a form where you may make changes to any field. You must provide the password that was sent to you when your site was approved to re-submit your changes. If you have lost your password you can click on the "(forgot your password?)" link near the bottom of the page and a new password will be sent to the email address you have provided with your listing.

I can't find my site. Where is it located?

If you are certain that your site has been approved in the directory but cannot find where your site listing is located, use the Power Search feature that will allow you to search for your site. Using the site url or email fields as search parameters are more accurate in finding your listing. If your site appears in the search results you can be assured that your site is in the category that appears in its details.

Has my premium listing been added or upgraded yet?

When you have paid for a premium listing your site is usually upgraded within the same day. If you are using one of our automated paid directories such as www.alinkdirectory.com or www.advertisemysite.com, your site should be added instantly. If it has been over a week and you have not received an email regarding your site listing being upgraded, and you do not see your listing in our directory after using the search function, please contact us and provide us with your site title, url, description, and the transaction ID of your payment and we will be sure to add/upgrade your listing right away!

Your site link will display the "premium!" text beside the site's title which is an easy indicator as if it has been upgraded yet. As of December 2006, we have improved the premium service by allowing automatic approval for premium listings until we manually confirm that the premium listing doesn't violate any rules. This saves you a lot of time and worry from having to wait for your premium listing to be submitted to the directory. We have decided to automate this process since 99% of premium listings are sites that do not violate any terms of service. Use the contact us link to send us an email if you have any questions and we would be glad to help.

How does your Ad Revenue Sharing system work?

This system is provided for premium links and only works if you have already registered an account with Google Adsense. If you do not have an account with Google Adsense you may use the following link for more information on how to do so:

With an active Google Adsense account you are given a unique ad client ID which is publicly displayed and is used by Google to track your ad data. If you login to Google Adsense and click on the "My Account" tab, near the bottom of the page will display your "Property info". There it should have a line that displays something similar to this example:

AdSense for Content: ca-pub-8001733582266011

That is your client ID used for banner ads and it is safe to display this ID on sites. Be sure to leave out the
"ca-" part from the beginning of the ID since it is not necessary. When adding or updating your site listing, you have the option of entering your Ad client ID into a field and it will randomly display your Google Ads on your site listing details page. Add Your Site Free Submit is a high traffic directory and only your ad code along with ours will appear which means there is a very high chance of your ad appearing more often per page load. If a visitor clicks on your ad you will earn money from the Google Adsense system that you can keep track of by logging into your Google Adsense account.

Does Google permit your Revenue Sharing system?

We have known Google to allow revenue sharing on other sites and we personally contacted their staff and gave them all of the information regarding this site and the use of the revenue sharing program and they fully support it. Here is a copy of the email granting Add Your Site Free Submit permission for use of this service:

"In response to your question, any AdSense publisher may rotate his or her ad code with another publisher's code as long as both publishers have approved AdSense accounts. The revenue generated from these ads will be directly tied to the specific account indicated in the ad code.

In addition, please keep in mind that every publisher is responsible for the content of a website on which their ad code is placed. If a website is found in violation of our program policies, we will notify any publisher(s) whose ad code is on the website, and ask you to remove the Google code from that page.

I also recommend that you read through the AdSense Terms and Conditions at https://www.google.com/adsense/terms to ensure that your implementation does not generate invalid impressions or clicks and is not in violation of any of our policies.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

For additional questions, we suggest you visit our AdSense Help Center at https://www.google.com/support/adsense . If you're unable to find an answer to your question on our site, please feel free to reply to this email.

Sincerely,

Arlene
The Google AdSense Team"

Basically this means as long as you follow their TOS by not abusing their service such as invalid clicks (clicking on your own banners to increase money earned) then this service is allowed.

What is the High Pagerank Link Directories page about?

We are webmasters just like yourself so in order to gain more internet traffic from real people we also submit to quality link directories. We are associated with a lot of well known sites that provide such information, however we feel that this information could be improved to better cater to webmasters. Most sites that provide lists of link directories do not provide all of the information that is necessary in choosing the type of directories you can easily submit your sites to. We have created a new list of directories that is free for you to use that can hopefully make things easier for all of us, especially yourself!

Visit the new High Pagerank Link Directories page for a list of directories. This list will be updated to keep you up to date with all of the latest directories. Even though we have added a Quick FAQ there on the page, we also wanted to explain in more detail what each category name in the High Pragerank Link Directories page is about.

Directory Name

This category should be self explanatory. Basically it provides a list of the directory names that link to the directory's main page. You can use the sort menu option to list the directories in alphabetical order.

PR (PageRank)

This category displays the directory's PageRank value based on Google's system on determining the importance of links. We only allow PR4 directories or higher to be listed on our High Pagerank Link Directories page. We also only allow directories that pass PR to other pages, meaning that the homepage is not the only page with a PR value. You can use the sort menu option to list the directories in pagerank.

Alexa

This category displays the site's Alexa ranking based on stats provided by Alexa.com. The lower the number the better since it indicates the site receives a lot of visitors. This shouldn't be a very reliable source of traffic information, however you can determine if a site receives real traffic by how many sites link to it from search engines. This information is continually updated to keep you up to date on our High Pagerank Link Directories page. You can use the sort menu option to list the directories in alexa rank.

Premium Price

If the directory charges a price for optional features, the price will be listed here. We have made it easier by displaying if they only charge one time or reoccurring payments (ex. weekly, monthly, yearly). You can use the sort menu option to list the directories in premium price.

Free

This category displays if the directory offers free listings or not. You can use the sort menu option to list the directories in free listing order.

Reciprocal

This category displays if the directory only allows reciprocal links (meaning you have to link back to their directory in order to be listed in their directory). Most directories on this list do not require a reciprocal link, however they sometimes offer a free or a discounted price if you link back to their directory. We have used the following terms to make it easier for you to determine what the directory offers:

None - doesn't require reciprocal links in order for your site to be listed.
Discount - discounted price to be included into directory. Usually only paid directories offer this option.
Unpaid - offers a free listing if you link back to theirs. Usually only paid directories offer this option.

You can use the sort menu option to list the directories in reciprocal listing order.

Reg

This category displays if the directory requires you to register an account first before submitting a site. We find this to be annoying at times so most directories on our list probably do not require registration. You can use the sort menu option to list the directories in required register order.

Img

This category displays if the directory requires image verification upon submission. Image verification is to help prevent spammers from sending automated submissions into the directory. This is the webmaster's preference so if the directory offers it or not is really not a problem for you. The only time it is annoying for the submitter is when the image verification is hard to read. You can use the sort menu option to list the directories in image verification listing order.

Uniq

This category displays if the directory displays an error such as "Title is not unique in the parent category". This is an option set by the directory's webmaster to allow sites with similar words such as "directory" into the directory's category. It can be a little annoying at times since you do not see the error until after you click the submit button which may also reset the image verification if the directory offers it. You can use the sort menu option to list the directories in unique error listing order.
