South London based Bockscar formed in March 2005 when Glen. Harry, Rowan & Adam sought to combine their musical backgrounds and styles. This brought together sounds influenced by Hip-hop, Rock, Funk & Metal into a solid hybrid feel, which broke free from the moulds of their musical pasts and unveiled a surprisingly fulfilling middle ground between traditional MCing, and a wide variety of experimental riffs. After a whirlwind 4 weeks that saw the production of 8 original songs, and a feeling that they were onto something good, they quickly bundled into the recording studio to crank out a 3-song demo.

Travalingua, brazillian instrumental music

The Travalíngua project has the purpose to promote awareness of the music through the Brazilian instrumental language. By giving priority to the pieces previously unreleased or little publicised by the media the finished work resulted in a CD recorded and produced by the group itself and which includes only a part of the repertoire performed in concert, and it also features songs written by Edu Lobo, Hermeto Paschoal, Egberto Gismonti, Astor Piazzolla and Milton Nascimento. Whith a popular “avanguard” quality the arrangement were crafted under the influence of popular and cultural genres whith na intonation all its own due to the rare combination of the instruments used by the group.

Bio
Singer Songwriter Chris Nettleton has been writing and performing his unique brand of progressive melodic alternative folk for a number of years now. Chris has had the opportunity to share stages with such chart toppers as David Usher, Dahmnait Doyle, and 54-40 to name a small few. While performing at venues from Halifax to Vancouver Chris is currently working on his next CD at the Banff Centre which he describes as his true debut release although he has put out a number of small demo CD's over the years.
Currently residing in The Bow Valley corridor, Chris has been touring the West Coast of Canada relentlessly. With his debut release due out in the fall of 2005 be sure to look for Chris Nettleton at a venue near you
